West System International (WSI) is proud to have supported the Wooden Boatbuilders’ Trade Association at this year’s Beale Park Boat and Outdoor Show. WSI is delighted that with its help, the WBTA stand attracted more visitors this year than ever before.
Nineteen WBTA members, representing some of the best wooden boat builders in the country, exhibited a varied range of craft and techniques at the show, demonstrating high quality design, construction and finish. This year, the show organisers revitalised the core boating theme of the event by working with the Wooden Boatbuilders’ Trade Association, one of the show’s founders, to add renewed energy to the event.
“The funding we had from WSI was key to helping us afford a much larger and more substantial marquee than ever before,” said Nick Newland, Chairman of the WBTA. “It provided a great focal point and was, I am sure, a key reason why we saw more people through the stand than in any previous year. We’re very grateful to WSI for that and hopefully we’ll repeat it next year.”
Ian Oliver, Managing Director of West System International (WSI), said: “Beale Park Boat and Outdoor Show is one of the brightest and best wooden boat shows in the UK. We are very proud to be associated with WBTA and its presence at this show because it is an event that many of our WEST SYSTEM® epoxy customers feel passionate about.”
The WBTA was formed in 1990 and is a major influence in the promotion of all forms of wooden boat building and wooden boat repair in the UK.
This year’s Beale Park Boat and Outdoor Show attracted 4,764 boat enthusiasts, boat buyers and their families for what turned out to be a vintage year for this unique and very quirky British event.
