West System International (WSI) is proud to once again support Watercraft Magazine’s Amateur Boat Building Awards (ABBA) to be held at this year’s Beale Park Boat and Outdoor Show 2nd-5th June.
Aiming to encourage people to have a go at building their own boats, WSI is joining forces with its distributer, Robbins Timber, to reward every successful entrant to this year’s competition with a £25 voucher towards WEST SYSTEM products.
As well as co-sponsoring the competition, WSI will also be at the Robbins Timber stand during the show giving live product demonstrations and providing lots of epoxy advice and tips for your boat building and maintenance projects.
The competition for enthusiasts, which has been running under various names for over 20 years, attracts entrants from across Europe. It recognises excellence in home-built boats in three categories: boats which offer the most encouragement to beginners; boats which demonstrate innovation; and boats which look professionally built.
Ian Oliver, Managing Director of WSI, said: “The Amateur Boat Building Awards is designed to encourage people to take up the challenge of creating their own boat by rewarding those that have already risen to the challenge.”
To enter ABBA 2016 please send pictures and a brief description of your boat, together with your contact details, no later than 1 May 2016, either by email to: abba@watercraft-magazine.com or by post to: Amateur Boat Building Awards, Water Craft, Bridge Shop, Gweek, Cornwall TR12 6UD.
